I've finally bought a WS-2300 weather station, pics of which will appear at the bottom of this page shortly, showing my setting up and in use at home.
Below are the readings I'm getting, these are being captured via COM port to my linux server, which also uploads to WeatherUnderground.
The graphs shown are directly loaded from Wunderground.com, but will be replaced shortly by my own. Refresh is every 5 minutes.

• 17/01/2005 : Added weather page to site
• 17/01/2005 : Need to check direction facing of weather vane, and make sure its not affected by trees/surroundings
• 20/01/2005 : Wind speed/direction isn't working as it should, not showing the correct windspeeds or directions, so I'm guessing I need to re-mount the weather vane.
• 21/01/2005 : DOWN. The weather monitoring connection to the server (via serial) is down for some reason. I'll investigate tonight, ignore the strange readings!! (114mph winds for example!)
• 21/01/2005 : Sensors are active again, not sure what caused the failure earlier on, probably interference so will investigate this weekend
• 08/02/2005 : I've settled the sensor malfunctions down now. It looks like if it cannot communicate with the ws it gives erratic numbers, so i've put sanity checking in now on the server.
• 28/02/2005 : Problems with my ADSL connection (Faulty router/modem) are causing it to drop out/loose connection. My adsl provider Eclipse have sorted an RMA (THATs service for you, its almost 2yrs old now!!)
• 06/08/2005 : Hmm, no rainfall being shown and its pouring down outside, have noticed a few sensor drop-outs.. Batteries replaced and will continue to monitor it.
• 07/08/2005 : Rainfall sensor isn't working at all, so its disconnected at present. Also found a tree branch leaning on the wind sensor so directional/speed won't be accurate. Will repair this weekend.
• 11/09/2005 : The wind sensors is now unjammed, so wind readings are back to normal. I've sorted a fix for the rainsensor, and will complete that this week hopefully.
• 10/04/2006: I've setup the weather station at the new house, unfortunately the wind sensor isn't operating correctly at the moment due to location, so I'll have this accurately reporting very shortly.
• 30/04/2006: Due to a change at weatherunderground the upload software stopped working. I've now found the fix via the wu2300 mailing lists and its back in operation now. Sorry for the lack of data the past week or so!
• 23/08/2006: Problems due to my server upgrades and IP renumbering caused weather reporting to be down for the past week or so. It is all back now, however no history/weather was recorded during this time.
